Very knowledgeable staff, never tried to upsell any gear I didn't need. Servicing prices extremely high, even for smallest repairs.

Disappointing customer service. I took a Canondale bike to be serviced recently since one of the hydraulic brakes was not working well. When I picked up the bike the rear wheel was rubbing against the back brake pads and this had to be attended to while I waited. On riding the bike I found that the rear brake was just as faulty as before and that the gears had been misadjusted so the chain was falling off the front ring. In summary, I had paid 40 for the shop to make my bike worse. When I took the bike back, instead of apologising, the manager said that the Shimano brakes were "rubbish" (which I thought was an extraordinary thing to say) and that they had had a difficult week due to the heat. On the plus side, they then mended the brake and readjusted the gears. A small new component was required to mend the brake and rather than this being fitted for free to compensate for the very poor service and inconvenience caused I was charged 20 for it. Very underwhelmed.
I have now purchased 2 bikes from cycles UK Canterbury so know the staff well over the last few years, they are always accommodating when I drop my bike off for servicing, even going the extra step of getting there early to take my bike so Im not late for work!!Not had issues with my bike until recently, but the staff liaised with the manufacturer and within a week new parts delivered and fitted. Really cant rate the staff there highly enough, and they wont let me have my bike back till they are 100% happy with any issues it may have had and is working like new. Thats why I travel the extra distance for the service they provide
