Im not quite sure what happened to this pharmacy in the past six months or so. Its gone from being a (possibly too) large shop to one thats about a quarter of the size which seems kind of odd considering that its serving a university. The staff are always busy, often friendly but Ive been told on more than one occasion that they wouldnt be able to fulfill my prescription on the day and have had to go elsewhere, which has never happened before. The lack of space means that if you wanted to talk to staff youd have to go into the dedicated area as everyone can hear everything. I now generally try and get my prescriptions sent elsewhere because I never know if Ill get things when I need them here. Absolutely not the fault of the frontline staff, who are pleasant and doing their best to serve a very busy community, but I do wonder why they made the changes.

I just wanted to point out from reading the reviews at this place I think its very sad that people have the time to point out the worst in places. The staff that work here work all day everyday to provide us with what we need, I have family members that use this pharmacy and they are very happy with the service. The dispenser that works here is always working really hard and she is always taking time to make sure her customers are ok. There was a young lady upset and she took her into the consultation room got someone to cover her and spoke to this lady and made sure she was ok. Also every other staff member that works in this cheadles is always happy and smiling and always greeting customers as they come in. If there is an issue they are on the case sorting it. There has been changes to the system items arent always in stock but that sometimes cant be helped. So if you are deciding to come on here and write something horrible just think about how your going to make people feel who work there all day everyday. They always try. I cant thank them enough especially the lovely young lady whos dispenses everything. Well done.

Brilliant and fast service here. I received my items and prescription almost immediately, with a happy and warming reception. The pharmacist/ dispenser was very polite and help ful. One of my items were not in stock and I was told clearly and promised it the next day which I picked up the next day as promised. It was tidy and a well managed shop also, with the shelves fully stocked and plenty of range of items. I have used many other pharmacies in the past, such as your larger chains: Boots, Asda, Lloyds, etc. And can happily say from a smaller pharmacy this was by far the best service and experience Ive received. Anyone in the Canterbury/Kent area Id advise you use this pharmacy.

I would NOT recommend Cheadles. The senior staff/store manager should take a course in customer service as customer care and service is totally lacking ! They are only interested in taking your money!

To all future patients pls be warned. I received a fine because of being misadvised by the pharmacist on duty that day and for not being a lawyer well versed with the laws of NHS and this country's medical care system. A view from a fellow international uni student.Truly not all the pharmacist there are bad and I've met the rare helpful and kind ones. But my experience was horrid. Not only were they rude and unhelpful, and the two pharmacist started debating about the existence of a type of calamine lotion the doctor advised me to get. I'm now responsible for paying a fine for trusting a pharmacist advice who should be more well versed than I. Long story short the pharmacist assumed I was on exemptions for some strange reason and shooed me off after giving me my prescription saying I didn't have to pay. But now I found out through the PCN that I actually should've paid which I would jolly well do if I knew I had to. So pls pls read your prescription paper carefully because it's legal document that they'll hold u solely responsible for. So if not for the dire need of medical care I shan't wish to visit this pharmacy again .
