When arriving in the City it is hard to miss the Westgate Towers.the largest surviving City Gate in England and still with traffic passing through the central archway. It made for an impressive entry into the complex of streets and whilst there have been difficulties over the years, it is good to see it still preserved
Small but perfectly marked. Well worth a visit
The tower makes westgate garden to the right even more picturesque. Such a beautiful place combined with clear river and flowery gardens. Walking distance to Canterbury West Station.
Beautiful place to relax a little and rest.West Gate Towers Museum. 1379 - was built in England's highest intact gate tower is 18 m. Canterbury 7 from the western gate.
Great little place, if you can find the entrance situated between a restaurant and another shop. Great history inside with its friendly staff, great views of Cantabury from the roof. With the added bonus of traffic going right underneath you what more do you want.
