It feels like the quality of food isn't as good as few years ago. However, the staff is brilliant - very traditional with exceptionally good manners.

Been her many times over the years, visited with my children again today. Customer service was as always excellent. Such friendly and genuinely nice people. Still the best chips in Canterbury.

Great place! Nice food and people in this shop. What a warm welcome. I strongly recommend it!

Love the food here. We live locally and always stop for lunch here whenever we are in the city. Couldn't recommend them more!

Visited this place with a group of my guests recently. Overall, I am really not happy with my experience. Below I explained the reason behind my argument by looking at positive and negative dimensions:Positive aspects:1 - This fish bar is located centrally2 - Service team is relatively friendly and good-humoredNegative aspects:1 - Service is overpriced2 - There is nothing special in service or food (neither in taste nor in quality) to justify this overpricing3 - Some aspects of this business is not ethical, and may not be legal.Overpricing may be used as a business strategy as it is centrally located and most of the customers are one-off customers. However, I want to emphasize the third - ETHICAL - dimension of my negative experience. When I was preparing to pay for the service, I was given a receipt within which all items were labelled as "miscellaneous" (MISC). This is not ethical, because I have a right to be communicated clearly about what I have purchased. But it is really not easy to understand this from your service bill at this restaurant. There were some charged item that I could not understand and I was not able to complain due to my guests and I did not want to spoil the enjoyment of our day. Customers do have rights in this country and knowing what you buy is the most obvious dimension of these rights. I do not want to blame the business without having their explanation for this. It is up to them to either accept this as a mistake or justify why are they doing this. But I do not think I will ever visit this fish bar again and I would not recommend you if they do not explain the very logic behind this un-ethical business practice.
